Through my menopause-tinted glasses

Life feels like a whirr when it’s not slow

Take it easy, says my soul

Not too much talking, not too much walking or running around

Easy does it, says the mind.

So relax my friend, take a deep deep inhale

Let go of the past and surrender to the moment

Let the future unfold as it will

Stand not in its way

Sit back and enjoy this ride

The bumpity rumble and tumble

You are half way there and all is well

As far as the mind can see

Take your time

Enjoy the hues, the blues, the views

And love the tide

Let the waves come rolling at your feet

Feel the sand beneath

Leave your footprint behind

Sandcastles too

Let the waves come rolling in

For no one can control the tide

So surrender

Accept and love

Take a few deep breaths when things don’t go right and let go of hurt

Glide into the future

Gleam bright and shine your light !

Beautiful words and message, beautifully said. Loved the play of words as well. Worth reading again and again. For it is something we know, and yet it can elude us, and that’s where these lovely words gently help one ‘glide into the future’ enjoying ‘the hues, the blues, the views’.
